Fresh ideas from museums around the globe in your inbox each week
Hanne M. Grégoire, M stands for Michael not museum, was trained as a journalist, with extra love for radio. She later graduated cum laude as a Master’s degree in Multilingual Communication English – Dutch. Since her semester abroad in Helsinki, she has a soft spot for Finland.
She started her career as a project manager at Flanders Kitchen Rebels, an initiative of VISIT FLANDERS to promote Belgian gastronomy and young chefs at home and abroad. Yes, that does mean eating a lot of food and drinking beer. Hanne is now Head of Communication and Press at M Leuven, a museum for Contemporary Art, Ancient Masters and knowledge center for Medieval Sculptural Art. Besides being a bit of a smart ass and secretly googling typical artsy lingo of the experts and curators, she runs a young and talented team to create campaigns and put M Leuven on the map.
Hanne has given several lectures and classes as a guest speaker, such as on topics like M’s podcast ‘Moving Henry’ at Publiek20 and cultural (crisis) communication at the Catholic University of Leuven. And also at Museum Next in 2021. Nice.
