Natalie Wallace firmly believes in the power of museums and schools working together! Having been on both sides of the fence (she clocked up 15 years as a secondary English teacher before moving to heritage learning), she feels that each offers powerful and particular types of learning, both vital for children’s development.

Natalie is Head of Learning at the Roald Dahl Museum where she’s worked since 2016.

How can museums support creative learning within schools?

Creativity is under pressure in the primary school curriculum, despite being widely seen as vital for children and a driving force for all of our futures. The Roald Dahl Museum set out to use one of Dahl’s key creative processes (that of finding magic in the world around you) as the heart of a partnership project with a primary school, serving mainly Hard Pressed Neighbourhoods.
