Fresh ideas from museums around the globe in your inbox each week
Grace Nicholson is an Art History Producer with the Academy team at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), where she develops and delivers engaging learning experiences for audiences both in-person and online. Throughout her time at the museum, she has helped to shape innovative approaches to art history learning, combining academic rigour with accessible and inclusive programming.
Grace led the introduction of a hybrid delivery model, enabling V&A Academy to successfully livestream courses and events running at V&A South Kensington in real time to a global online audience. This approach has helped to reach a wider audience, increase accessibility, and create more opportunities for engagement while maintaining the benefits of face-to-face interaction and the convenience of remote learning through Microsoft Teams.
With experience in course production and public programming, Grace is passionate about connecting people with art and design. Her work focuses on creating inspiring learning opportunities that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
Grace Nicholson will be speaking at the Digital Learning Summit 2026:
Throughout this talk, attendees will discover the innovative approaches to accessing the museum’s collections through learning opportunities, with the combination of in-person and digital experiences to engage wider audiences, support lifelong learning, and increase accessibility. The talk will showcase examples of courses and events and the new technologies that have helped the Academy team develop our learning offer, as well as the collaborative learning models that connect people with cultural heritage in meaningful ways. Whether you work in museums, education, digital engagement, or cultural organisations, you will gain valuable insights into creating more inclusive, flexible, and sustainable ways for audiences to explore, learn from, and interact with museum collections.
