Conservation is a deeply sustainable museum practice—but only when audiences understand its value. This session explores how clear, targeted communication can make conservation visible, engaging, and meaningful. Using the case of the Pranas Gudynas Conservation Centre (Lithuania), we’ll show how museums can combat misinformation, use media effectively, and tailor messages for diverse audiences. Learn how to apply communication models, build public trust, and turn behind-the-scenes restoration into a shared cultural mission. Perfect for museum professionals looking to strengthen their sustainability messaging and connect people more deeply with heritage preservation.
