Jered Gold joined the Skirball Cultural Center in 2023 as vice president of Communications and Marketing to enhance the Skirball’s public image and visibility, increase attendance and support among diverse audiences, and provide strategic leadership for media and public relations, branding and visual communications, marketing and promotion, written communications, and social media and digital content. He also oversees the visitor experience team and related community engagement efforts. As a senior leadership team member, Jered contributes to the success of museum exhibitions, public programs, education and family programs, and other initiatives to advance the Skirball mission.
Previously, Jered enjoyed a nearly 20-year career at ArtCenter College of Design. As vice president of Marketing and Communications, he oversaw the College’s media relations, design and editorial, digital content and social media, photography, special events, and campus communications. Having held several positions at ArtCenter, he also spearheaded the College’s advertising, promotional partnerships, community and civic relations, as well as executive and crisis communications.
Jered joined ArtCenter from Universal Studios where he worked in Corporate Communications alongside the vice president of External Communications and Public Affairs handling media and community relations. At Universal, he also assumed management responsibilities in the areas of internal communications, brand stewardship, and corporate events.
Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of Boston Court Pasadena, a venue for live theatre, eclectic music programs, and visual arts with a focus on intimate and innovative artistic excellence.
