When she’s not *professionally* scrolling through social media, Talia loves Downton Abbey reruns and Judy Garland movies.

What happens when you combine five museums, three viral nail artists, and one creative film company? You learn how to communicate—differently. At the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, a pilot campaign merged museum collections with the power of social-first video to strategically combine and expand audiences.

This pilot put the Smithsonian lens on the rich history of nail art—rooted in Black culture, evolved in Asian and Asian American-owned salons, and finding new canvases in Indigenous communities.
