MuseumNext sponsor Museums & Race stand at AAM

The American Alliance of Museums conference is probably the biggest gathering of museum workers in the world. So when our friends at Museum Hue reached out to us and asked if we could help them to bring artists to the event for their Museums & Race stand we jumped at the chance to support them.

The Museums & Race Transformation and Justice Lounge was a space to reflect, to recharge and to reclaim a progressive vision for museums in collaboration with local artists and colleagues.

It featured round table discussions around a range of contemporary issues around race, image, representation, access and identity, a space to relax and network and gave delegates the opportunity to try some creative expression with artists Thomas “Breeze” Marcus, Dwayne Manuel and Amber McCrary.

MuseumNext was the main sponsor for the Museums & Race Lounge, this follows partnerships with Museum Hue at our own events which has included them presenting at our events in Europe and the United States, holding joint network events at our conferences in the United States and MuseumNext providing free conference entry to their members.
